New to caravanning. Just bought Hyundai i30 2015 and will hopefully be getting one of the freedom caravans. Now I need to get towbar fitted. I live in Manchester. Any recommendations of suppliers and fitters in this area and advice on what sort of towbar I will need.

Cannot advise on local fitters but I would use one of the towbar manufacturers reccommended firms. Use a reputable make like Witter, westfalia or Brink.
The type you fit is down to personal choice. The cheapest are the flange type which bolt on to a bracket fitted to the underside of the car. They are bulky and always in ful view. There are also swan neck which curve upwards from under the car and are posdibly neater but still there. The most expensive are detachable where you can remove the towball from the bracket so it is almost invisible if that is what you want. All work equally well and it is just a case of what you are happy with.
Not sure if the Freedom has a stabiliser hitch. If so you need to inform the fitter as they may need extra clearance for the tow ball.
Not sure of the age of the caravan. Ask the seller if it has twin plugs or a single 13 pin one as you will want the correct plugs fitted. Not a problen for the fitter but he will ask which you need.
A bumper protector to go above the towbar is useful and could save damag to the car might be worthwhile. This protects the area above the tow ball if you make an error when hitching but some numberplates prevent this being fitted.
Get quotes to see ho is giving a good deal on a branded tow bar but avoid any that look too cheap.
We have always used Witter and had no problems but the other brands are also worth looking at.

On my Hyundai Santa Fe, I had the Witter flanged towbar fitted, as original equipment and a lot of people with these had the problem of the tow bars dropping down by about 1 inch, only the flange type. I eventually change to a TowTrust flanged bar, As did several others. Remember if you have the Alko type hitch then the tow ball has to have the paint removed from the ball, before use, and cleaned before each hitch up.
