I have a 1985 Swift Challenger 550/5 (Twin axle) which is currently sited for the season.I have recently bought a VW Passat 1.9TDI (110).

Can anyone advise me if these would match as I have found cheaper storage for the winter but I would then need to move the 'van.
 
You say you've got a 1.9TDI (110) Passat. I wasn't aware that there ever was such a model. I only know of a 100hp version with a max towload of 1400kg and a 130hp version which may tow 1600kg. So, in case your Passat has the 100hp engine, you won't be able to load the caravan up to its MTPLM of 1500kg when towing but the car would be adequate just to move it to and from its winter storage when well-nigh empty.
