I received a reply to my earlier request for info. about Transeuropa Ferries from Tom stating that if I wished to travel on a cattle boat, eat food that tasted of crude oil and put up with crew who could not speak english to go for it or otherwise avoid like the plague!!!!! Well Tom you are the loser mate and maybe even racist. Transeuropa ferries was amazing for the £95 I paid for the car, caravan and 2 passengers return.

The boats had beautiful settees and were really nicely decorated. They were spotless and the food was very good and reasonably priced. The crew were foreign but very well mannered and very helpful and passengers have separate accommodation from the truck drivers. The ships arrived and departed on time and I would certainly use them again and can highly recommend them.

Transeuropa Ferries run from Ramsgate to Ostend and can only be booked online at www.transeuropaferries.co.uk or www.transeuropaferries.com They only carry about 20cars/caravans and no foot passengers or coaches.

Tom

We have tried just about every route from Ireland to France with our car/caravan incl. Norfolkline which we thought were fine but Transeuropa were better if you do not mind arriving in Ostend. As we are hoping to go to Annecy and Alsace next Summer we will certainly use them again if the price is right and that is the important question as what was cheap one year might be the dearest the next year, so buyer beware!!
