We are on a site . We have a Sterling EcclesSport 584 with a Trauma Combi water heater. We have heating on electricity and gas as normal but hot water runs for a short time before running cold . Does anyone have any ideas ?

Have you tried using the heater on just gas and then just electric, also make sure you don't have the timer switched on, not allowing the system to heat up.

The timers not on . Will try on gas and the electricity. We had is set on both . It’s strange because we are gettinghot water but only a limited amount

Another thought is the water temp set to 40c or 60 c. Ie Summer or Winter setting.

You say you only have hot water for a short time, but what exactly are you doing with the water?
Whatever heater you have, as you draw hot water it is replaced with cold which reduces the initial temperature of the hot water, the more you use the colder it gets until the heater has time to heat it up again.

Also , take into account the temperature of the cold water, and at this time of year, that is pretty cold !!!

We have had the caravan for about 6 years , regularly use the shower , have been out in all weathers and this is water situation new . We can get about a small wash basin of hot water before it runs lukewarm and then cold . We can normally both shower comfortably on one hot tank . We have tried using just gas and just electricity as suggested with no difference. It seems worse this morning so looks to be something which is getting progressively worse .

It looks as though there is a fault in the unit. My guess would be the thermostat. Unless you are able to work on the unit you will need an engineer to fix it. You do not say how long you are away, so do not know if it possible to wait until you get home, or if you can get a mobile engineer before you move on.
