Trouble with PayPal

All of a sudden PayPal has started to refuse payments on my debit card. It's happened twice recently for quite small amounts. And, yes, I do have enough in the bank to cover it! I sent a question to PayPal via their website, but got a fairly standard response (i.e. about credit limits and appropriate funds).

My only thought is that I recently had a shiny new Santander card to replace my Abbey one and, although the card number was the same, the security code was different.

Has anyone else had a problem with PayPal recently? How did you resolve it?

It's not a huge issue, but inconvenient, as all kinds of sites use PayPal.

Log into your PayPal account and then click on Profile. From the drop down menu select Add or Remove Card and then you can edit your card or update it.

hi joannaLesley

yes do exactly what LB suggests delete your old card and then add your new one. it should work fine then, paypal is very security aware and rejected my card because I had missed off one digit from the card code.

Thanks all. I think you may be right, as the only things that have changed are the expiry date and the security number. I deleted the old one off Pay Pal and have added the new one. I won't be able to tell until next time I use it. However, fingers crossed!
