Hi,

Troutbeck is an excellent site, well run by friendly wardens. There are two toilet blocks both kept spotless and only one is closed at a time for cleaning. The warden stocks a few provisions in the site office which is handy due to the remoteness of the site. For the best views try to pitch on the perimiter of the site either on the right as you enter the site or between the two loo blocks. The central oval is in a slight hollow.Make sure you fully peg your awning as you are 1000 feet above sea level so the wind really blows. The views are stunning. For the service pitches turn left immediatly after the site office. the service pitches are on an incline.I have a 1 minute video of the site which I took with my digi-camera.I will send it to you if you can get your e-mail address to me some how.Any questions just ask.

Hi Andrew,

There are three levels within the site all standard pitches are level, there is a river running along side the site, beware of the midge population they can be quite vicious got very badly bitten , the site shop sell plenty of repellents but none seemed to work on me.The site is next door to a adventure park, where you can pistol shoot, learn to drive jcb etc.The views are stunning especially the sunsets.
