Hi first time on the site and looking for some info,
I bought a bailey pageant 2002 in november and due to work have only just got round to having a good nose around, i put the heating on full but it seemed to take a long time to get comfortably warm, is this just due to the fact it has sat for 3 months or is something not right, this is all new to me as ive not been caravaning long.
Thanks in anticipation.

If you bought the caravan privately it may well be a good idea to have the gas and electrics checked by a qualified service engineer regardless of a fault or not. Those fires, from memory, used to warm up pretty quickly. Also make sure you fit a carbon monoxide alarm if there isn't one fitted.

Did you try it on leccy or gas?

if on the leccy it will take a lot longer than on gas, but Martin has given you sound advice.

Hi Redphill, i hope its this thread you were asking about, on my Sterling if you went behind the fire, there were levers that contolled the amount of air that was mixed and to where in the caravan the air went to.
I Hope this may help.
Hutch.

King Sproket's video tells it all.
What you describe is classic.Invariably as you turned the outer control ring to 2000watts the inner ring was inadvertently turned lowering the temperature cut off.For maximum heat ensure the inner dial is set to its maximum..
As advised use both gas and electric with the circulation fan off to speed up the heating process. The you can switch on the fan if you want warm air. Or off if you want convection heat.
