I am thinking of fitting a 4 wheel mover to my twin axle caravan. I have a truma t mover on it at moment which moves it fine but I could do with a tighter swing. The truma mover works fine and is only 13 months old so I am woundering how much I could sell it for and if anyone would be interested

A 4 wheel mover will give exactly the same turning as a single axle mover on a twin axle van.
Save your money and spend it on something else.

I have the same set up, a 2 wheel mover on a twin axle caravan. Have you got a twin wheel mover or a single axle mover. Powrtouch does single a twin (same a single but electronics is different) and a 4 wheel drive
We kept the single mover from our old caravan but bought the twin electrics. It takes longer to turn but you can help, firstly if on the front axle lower the hitch to transfer a little weight from the rear to help the turn, if on the rear raise the hitch.
Most of our moving is rearward so we are having the mover relocated to the rear axle, dragging the front wheels around should be better than trying to push the rear around.
Shunting the van back and forward helps as well.
I wouldn't pay the extra for the 4 wheel mover

hi, yes I agree if it's not broke don't mend it!! if it works leave it alone caravanning is expensive enough with buying something that gives no benefit.
ps note for Trucker if you change the mover from the front to the back don,t forget it will be subject to a lot more water and road s**t thrown up by the tyres. the mover rollers and motors will be in direct line of any thrown up at the back where when fitted at the front most of the gubbings is expelled before it gets round to the mover. and this may cause more maintenance issues.

thanks Colin, that's a trade off for me. The main reason I'm changing is nose weight, not a lot of gain but recon between 5 and 8kg less on the nose. This include the spare wheel off of carrier under a bed. The benefit of dragging free wheels rather than pushing free wheels should outweigh the extra maintenance (I hope)
