Truma mystery

I plugged in my hookup before putting the water on. I discovered that the hot water element in the Truma ultrastore had been switched on and dry for about 20 mins. True to my expectations, no hot water. I removed the fuses (2 x 5a) from the water heater on/off switch to check them- both ok. Dreading a bill for a new element, imagine my suprise when I later got hot water! Why would that be?

Once it cools it automatically resets ,happened to me.I am much more careful after that.

yep , happened to me too - relief when it heats up again - Extra careful now , not sure how many times it will take that kind of abuse ?
