Truma TEB fan motor (Truma part no. 4000-4200)

Existing motor for fan to distribute hot air been tested & needs replacing. Cost around £50!

Can I get the motor repaired / re-wound?

If not, could I buy a low wattage fan heater to supplement heat from existing factory fitted Truma heater which is still ok?

Any suggestions please?

Hello Ian,

The Truma Motors usually employed some quite soft brushes. These do wear down, and they used to be able to be replaced. I am not sure if Truma sell the brushes now or not. Apart from that I doubt if it is cost effective to try and have the motor rewound.

As an alternative, you might find a stockist with a Carver Fanmaster MK1 unit. The whole unit will replace a TEB fan and give you advantage of offering 230V electric heating. It is likely to cost less than an new motor for a TEB

Less than fifty quid for an "old Fanmaster mk1"? sorry John not a hope in hell!! still a very popular upgrade and fetch premium prices...mind you if you know of any going begging?? lol

What I would say though is the TEB fan motors are very reliable, are you positive it's the motor or perhaps the little control pcb is at fault?

Either way they don't cost
