Hi all

Just been away for the first time in our new caravan (2008 Ace Jubilee Courier)
We managed to get the Ultrastore water heater working, but when it came to the heating I was a bit stumped

The van has got the trumatic S3002 P with the additional Ultraheat element and its also got the Trumavent TEB 12v.

The problem we have is when have the Trumavent TEB 12v on it only blows cold air and I tried different ways to get it to blow warm air but couldn't figure it out. As its been a chilly weekend away we used the Ultraheat but would of preferred to use the blow heater.

On my older van (1999) if this ever happened it was due to the trip switch on the back of the fan, so I would need to lift the flap in wardrobe and feel behind the fan for the switch. I have looked at the back and cant see any switch/trip. In the wardrobe there is a fuses switches for (Space heater, Water heating and battery charger) and they are all fine.

Any ideas would be very very grateful

Thanks
Simon

Do any of you blown air pipes go under the floor of the van ? if so are they insulated ....

With out the blower working was the front of the fire / heater getting warm ?

Hi thanks for your reply

All pipes appear to go above floor level as can see then under seating area etc, when the blower is turned off and I just use the ultraheat on 500/1000/2000w it warms the fire up lovely

Thanks

If you let the fire warm up first before you turn the fan on it will have a better chance of working and blowing warm air, just have the fan on slow till the heat starts to come out of the vents, I only use the fan on about 3 to 4 max that works ok for us.

OK thanks will check that in the next couple of weeks, what wattage do you normally run at 500?1000?2000? and what number (1-9) before you normally put the fan on low

The TEB 2 is just a fan, nothing else.
To get the van warm to start with use both gas and electric set to 9 and after the fire has warmed up and a good heat is available, use the fan on A and set to 3 or 4 to warm the fabric of the van.
Once warm you can then just use electric to maintain the heat.
The different wattage settings (500, 1000 & 2000) are there to allow for lower supplies which some sites have (6 and 10 Amp max)
If you are on a 16Amp hookup, use 2000 all the time, the electric element will heat up quicker and keep the van temp reasonable.
