I'm looking to mount a TV in our bedroom area and would really appreciate some guidance/help.20230923_115748.jpg

Our Elddis Affinity has what looks like a dedicated mounting plate for TV mounting in the bedroom area (see image).

Does anyone know how to use/remove it?

I would not remove it as there will almost certainly be a mark or damage left behind.
Commercial mounts like the one shown above are available everywhere, so follow the mounting instructions and check it can carry the weight of your TV and you should be good to go although I would remove the TV from the mount when travelling.

I agree with Raywood. Don’t remove it. The board it is attached to probably won’t take the weight of the bracket on its own and the dedicated plate is for strengthening. Also always remove the TV from the bracket when towing.

We have an Elddis product and I would not recommend removing that block no matter how unsightly it may look. It is there for a purpose.

In my opinion, it may have to come off. It could be that the bracket needs attaching to it, or behind it.

However. It appears to me because of the aerial location, that a bracket is intended to go there. I imagine that it was originally an option.

If so, there will be a method to do it. And it is likely designed for a specific bracket. (which will be at a premium price).

Ask a dealer. There is no reason why they will not advise you. You will then be free to get your own bracket and fit it yourself if you want to.

I would search on YouTube for “elddis tv bracket mounting instructions”.

Here is an example.

Removing the bracket will probably cause a lot of damage especially if glue was used to give it additional strength.
