The past few times we have been away in the caravan we've taken a small all in one tv/DVD combi.
It worked well the first time, but on the second time it would not turn on.
Faulty TV I hear you scream!! We took it back to Currys and got a replacement.
Took it away on holiday and it happened again.
We then invested in a smaller portable dvd player for our toddler to watch on the long journey.
We plugged this into the mains in the caravan and the same thing happened again!!
What seems to be happening is that the power pack for the TV and the portable dvd player is getting frazzled by the caravan's mains supply.
The local caravan repair say that it would be impossible as it is just drawing power from the hook-up.
All other items like kettles, hairdryers and radios work fine - it just seems to be power pack appliances.
What could be the problem?
