I have recently bought a caravan and want to make sure that the caravan has the correct tyres fitted as I am told that caravans have to have 'van type tyres' on and they have reinforced sidewalls. How can I tell if they are the correct ones on my caravn which is a Fleetwood Colchester 560 EK. please.

Tyre type is unimportant - Load Index is the important thing, that's the 2/3 digit number in front of the speed rating, eg a 165/70 R13 78T tyre has a load index of 78 which can be looked up in tables to establish the maximum load for that tyre.

What's the load index on your tyres Paul?
