Well, not for you, but warn any fitter when you get your tyres changed as they beed to remove all pressure before breaking the bead. If they don't, it takes a while to clean up.

Hi Mike,

Be aware that some tyre fitting companies will not repair tyres which have had ultra seal or similar compounds put into tyres - it once cost me a new tyre!

Hi Mike. I put the product into my van wheels last year and have a lot of confidence in it.

I started to wonder about the investment 6 weeks ago in Spain when one tyre had a slow puncture. Ultraseal should stop this problem completely I thought.

When I removed the wheel I could not find any problem with the tyre so had to look further. I found 2 blobs of the gel on the inside of the alloy wheel which pointed to 2 fractures in the casting.

Of course the Ultraseal is not intended to stop this type of leak but it did provide the indicator to where the problem was.

I removed the gel to a sealed container and will put it back in the tyre when I get my new wheel.

That the beauty of it Clive, is that you can re-use it, it's not just a get you home measure. On top of that ultraseal conditions the tyre so that it doesn't deteriorate the as much when your 'vans laid up for a while. It also encourages lower tyre temperatures when on the move, and if you are unfortunate to have a tyre fail ultraseal will reduce the decompression rate to hopefully allow driver control.
