Can anyone help please?

I was playing around with the sat nav and somehow I've lost Jane's voice, she's greyed out and so is the male. I think at one time I pressed another language button in error.

I activated re-set factory settings but that hasn't worked. I've downloaded Jane's voice from the TT website but can't figure out what to do next. I can't see anywhere where it tells you what to do on the website or in the manual and cd rom.

Could someone tell me how to get Jane back as I need the sat nav for tomorrow.

I've also lost my speed cameras too, so if anyone can tell me where to get a free copy from and how to install again, that would be appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation.

Lisa.

Sorry Lisa, didn't see this one until now, so I may be too late.

If it's anything like TT Navigator you need to go into "Change preferences" (picture of a spanner) on the screen. Scroll across until you see "Switch language" (shows a few flags waving)you will be given a choice, just select English UK.

Getting Janes's voice back is done in a similar wasy, change preferences/scroll to "Change voice" (picture of red lips)then scroll to the voice you want. Select Jane and you should be back up and working.

Hope that's not too late

Hi Lol

Thanks for the reply.

I've tried that but the English Jane and man are greyed out. Won't let me select them. It's probably something to do with the fact that I thought I'd change the language for a joke - I selected Turkish or something and then of course I couldn't understand the instructions and was pressing any button to try and get English back. So at the moment, the only voices I can get are French, Italian and something else. French would have been fine in 1980 as I was, believe it or not, fluent in French but as the blonde woman in Abba has said (well documented), if you do not speak another lanaguage, even though you were fluent in it 26 years ago, one does forget.

As a last resort, I'll let the IT bods at work look at it. I know it shouldn't be a serious problem, it's just rather annoying. As long as it's working again for next Sunday, (another dog show) that will be fine.

Lisa xx

p.s. Hope you put your flag out tonight and hope the sunburn has subsided.

Well, thanks to the numerous replies on my problem!

Just an update - Jane is now back on the unit. I figured out how to xfer the data. It was so simple I couldn't believe it.

I haven't got a Jane. I've got a Mabel who speaks Dutch though. I being a male is more practical than Lisa. I sorted the problem by going to W.H.Smiths and buying a English/Dutch translator book :O)
