I own a fleetwood volante 560/4 2003 had it about 6 months.Today on the caravan storage site using a pair of steps I decided to inspect the roof. What I found was like a pond on top,obviously the roof is concave rather than convex and holding the rainwater.While up the steps I looked around at the other vans and most of them were clear of water.Inside the van there is no sign of damp,is this an impending disaster waiting to happen and I have bought a pig in a poke or is this okay on caravans?Your thoughts are most welcome as I have only been in this game for two years.

If the water is still there then there cant be any leaks so things are not all bad.I store mine at an angle so it runs off the back but perhaps more experienced vanners will give you better advice

Flat roof vans do suffer from water pooling, unlike the old style boat roof vans.
Th eanswer as has been said is to store the van either with the front raised to allow the water to run off the back, or nose down so it runs off the front.

Hi Roy allways park my van when not in use with the nose down as low as possible no problem with water pooling it runs off.
Unles there is a seam under the pool of water, it's not going to create a water leak problem, just an unsightly stain, if you happen to be looking at the caravan from above.
leave ours nose down after pooling on the roof was a regular happening.not too much as too make your alarm go off on tilt.
