Nice pictures, Slimbridge is lovely at any time of the year. We have just arrived back after a BBQ with four friends. Lovely and warm and so nice to get together again. Plus I got a goodly number of plant cuttings and small splittings too, and lots of good company, food and wine.

Had a doctor appointment this morning has made us late but going soon to Pickering picking van up on way (y)
Doctor rang me this morning, your overdue a blood test, ok get an appointment asap, 4th May,
So now appointment for 4th, 10th and 21st May, I might end up giving up this caravaning lark, or just take the caravan to the hospital and pitch up.
BB, enjoy you fish and chips in Whitby.

BB, enjoy you fish and chips in Whitby.

You will need a second mortgage for them Havent been there for around 20 years, and they were asking a tenner for fish n chips back then. Only slightly cheaper than Rick Steins place in Padstow.

we are currently at Tudor caravan park in slimbridge, we’d love to go but I doubt the dog would be allowed in would she, a shame but our little dog is as much a member of the family as us so where we go she goes, having a fabulous time at Tudor with glorious weather which is more like July that April, got another 4 days then next trip is in 3 weeks time, we are getting out as much as we can just in case we get another lockdown, I’ll have to google the the water trust and check if dogs allowed.

Sorry Beechpee, definitely not allowed. Tudor CP looks quite nice, I used to play skittles against one of the owners. The Tudor Arms used to be a nice place to eat before the outbreak.

We live about 4 miles from there. As members of Slimbridge we go quite often. Good value that way, as well as supporting a good cause. But I think it’s expensive for a one off visit.

If you are NT members, the other place in my pictures is close to you as the crow flies (and you have a boat), but about 15 miles by road. Nice and flat for walking round.

Newark Park is also a nice NT visit, but a lot of the walking involves a hill.

Woodchester Manor is also a nice visit, Also Roman ruins around Coaley Peak. There are car parks with great views over the escarpment.

I hope I have misunderstood that! First read as you are travelling to Whitby lying in the van. Looking forward to arriving to fish and chips!

:)

Sorry, John

Beachball wrote that he was going to Pickering in his post #5.
Somebody else introduced Whitby fish and chips to the conversation.

We are just outside Cheltenham and to get a booking to get into a pub at lunch time today within 10 miles just for drinks is impossible!

Pubs are desperate for revenue and profit so diners will inevitably get priority over drinkers.
Up in Worcester around where we live no issue whic is why I never thought of booking. However we have booked a place at a pub for next weekend when we are away.
