Hello,
I am an enthusiast of anything more than 50 years old.

I have a vintage caravan built in 1936 fully restored by me.I also have some classic caravans.... 1969 Viking Fibreline,1969 Carlight Caselette and a 1967 Cheltenham Sable.,also restored by myself.

I tow these caravans to shows and events with one of my classic cars, various makes and models collected and restored by me.

The cars and caravans are very popular with the public,I must say the caravans outshine the cars at some events.

They remind people of innocent fun they had on holiday with their parents in the years before the 1970`s.

I also collect old camping equipment and tents etc to compliment our display.

The 1936 caravan is used for 1940`s re-enacting events and vintage shows.

The 1960`s caravans are used for 1960`s re-enacting,classic car events.

I am always on the lookout for any older caravans built before 1970,to preserve and display at events or shows,if you know of one please contact me with any details.

I must have had the caravan bug from birth when my parents first took me away in one.

Kind Regards
Prunerede

Hello Prunerede. Whilst I cannot compete with your collection, I also am a classic fan, having owned Royale caravans for over twenty years .Are you aware of "The old classic car " website? It has a classic caravan section.
And can I interest you in joining us in Sweden in June for the European Classic Caravan Rally?
Were you at the world record attempt last August?
Welcome to the forum!

Hi Prunerede, welcome to the forum.
Your hobby must be fascinating.
We saw some lovely classic caravans at the Malvern Caravan Show a couple of months back, they were all pitched together.
Let us know if you are visiting any 1940s events with your classics next year.

I am of the opinion PC magazine have no interest in classic caravans. I sent them some pictures of a caravan from the 1930's and they did not even bother to respond!
