My sister in law may well have a Mr shifter for sale.

I use a Motor mover ET to move my twenty foot twin axle van and also move the father-in-law's seventeen foot single axle van. The single axle van has to go up a 1 in 6 slope about 15 foot long to get it out of the garden. We do this by chocking the wheelsand driving the hitch side to side, chocking the highest wheel each time and "walking the van" up the slope.

For me the portability of the motor mover and the ability to even use it on my goods trailer, out weigh the lack of pure grunt. But by being a little thoughtful you can get round this.

If you mail me at hotmail I'll be able to feed back price etc to you.

Cheers.

Steve.

Hello San,

The A frame type movers (Mr. Shifta, Powerwheel etc.) are a very good solution on hard flat surfaces. If you have a slope, gravel, grass or any other surface where you would have difficulty in holding or moving a caravan by hand, the A frame movers are likely to suffer the same grip and driving force problems that you have.

You must consider that you have impared safety on a slope, and the weight of the caravan can override the gripn of the small driving wheel causing a caravan runaway.

The chassis mounted movers have far superiour traction and control on a much wider and realistic range of surfaces.

The choice is yours
