Water drainage and banging noise when slowing down

The bathroom sink takes ages to drain the water away any ideas on what I should do first. I have only had the van a couple of months, 1992 Avondale Pearle Adonis, and a little bit frightened of taking it apart.

Secondly when slowing down or breaking there is a banging noise from, what I assume, hitch up area of the caravan. This has happened both with the old, and I mean old, Monza caravan towed with the Rover 200 1.4 and also now with the Avondale towed with a 1.6 CD Astra. The vans were/are both well within the 85% rule and loaded correctly. I do attached a Bulldog stabalizer, could this be the problem. Never driven without it as it as I feel safer knowing it is there.

banging sounds like the damper on the hitch isn't working correctly.push the hitch in with your hands(some resistance should be felt)and it should come slowly back out.if it goes in to freely it needs to be looked at.

disconnect the waste from the sink if you can to find what seems to be some kind of blockage,or you could use sink unblocker bought from general supermarkets.it worked on a mate of mines van.
