Just picked up a new Abbey Aventura 319, on opening up the flap where the water pump fits I was surprised not to see a water filter or a hole for one to be fitted. Don't new caravans have the screw in renewable ones anymore. I'm a bit puzzled so maybe someone can enlighten me as I can't find out from the info. that came with it. Thanks.

Many current caravans use an inline filter, just before the kitchen tap in the cold circuit. These inline filters last a full year, instead of just 30 days and are easier to change, on some caravans! Filtapac make one called the Econoflow - more expensive at

Hi Dave, I to have a Adventura, like most of the Swift Group vans they don't have a filter fitted, if you want filter it's a simple job to fit a inline filter. George.

I have a 2003 Bailey, the filter is an in line type. As RogerL said, it is usually in the cold water line under the sink. Have a look see, you might find one there.

Hi Dave, like George we have a 2004 Abbey Spectrum 520.I noticed no water filter when collecting the van, the dealer told me Swift don't fit them now as the water quality on sites has much improved. We generally use caravan club sites and spent 3 weeks in france with no funny tummy, but like george says you could easily fit an in-line filter for peace of mind.
