water fittings

I recently bought a new high flow pump for our avondale arrow, it has the truma crystal 2 fittings, unfortunatly the electrical contacts were quite tight, and has cracked the plastic surrounding the internal contacts allowing it to be pushed out, I have repaired it with epoxy, and pinched the contacts so it now fits ok without having to be pushed to hard, but I found a new inlet assembly for £10 so have got a new one, my question is, how do the water fittings disconnect? I don't want to force it and do more damage.

Thanks in advance

The carrier tube is a figure of 8 tube.

One of the tubes carries the water from the pump to the fitting, the second tube carries the electrical wiring.

The water tube will be held in place by either a jubilee clip or a clamp ring.

If it is a clamp ring then the easiest way is to just cut the tube as close as possible to the fitting, making sure you do not cut the wire in the second tube at the same time.

Fit to the new fitting and secure with a stainless steel jubilee clip

When you say Crystal 2 i presume you meaning the housing with the screw in cartridge filter and the pump is secured by the means of 2 clips?

If so on the back you will have compression fitting for the water and 2 wires + and _ for the pump on screw terminals.

To remove the pipe from the fitting push the outer collar of the fitting in and pull the pipe out,to refit push pipe in fully.

sorry its the crystal 2 compact so doesnt have the filter, but yes its the black push on fitting on the inside of the caravan I need to remove, so I can replace the assembly fitted to the caravan, it was one of the terminals with the 12 volt supply wire which got pushed into the caravan.
