Water Heater -Broken Connection

Just found a leak on the top of the water heater, its where the hot pipe connects to heater itself, the connection has snapped off and one end is still in the heater, does this unscrew or has the ball bearing on the top have something to do with the push fit connection.

Any help appreciated
 
Hi, Inside is the threaded part. Yes it unscrews. The Ball bearing is not connected to it. You will need to carefully cut the thread with an axe saw blade and remove. You can buy the new part in most good camping stores.
