water to taps

Hi

This is probably a really basic question but I am new to all this. I have acquired an old Ace Superstar caravan which I am trying to get back into working order.

I have sorted the 12v power and the loo and if I switch on the power and 'pump' then the loo flushes - although via a doorbell fitted to the front rather than the standard flush switch suggesting some kind of modification

However I have no water to either the loo sink or kitchen sink. The kitchen sink taps have power cables to them suggesting they are electrically powered. There is an indoor water container and this was connected to a 12v in line pump. However, the pump does not work when the 'pump' switch is turned on and the cables to it dont show the right symbol on the power tester I have been using (but do weirdly cause it to light up blue which isnt what it is supposed to do!). Having googled I also gather this pump is only intended to boost a manual or other pump.

I would be happy with a manual pump - but I cant find one. I have looked under the carpet next to the sink (where it was on the last caravan I was in c 1975!) but nothing. Any ideas if there should be a manual pump and if so where it might be located?

your hopefully

It sounds like whoever owned it in the past has done modifications.
It is therefore impossible to even guess at what is happening on a forum.
It needs to be seen in the flesh , as it were, to determine what is what.
I suggest getting a mobile engineer to have a look and see what needs doing and how it is supposed to work, but it will not be a quick fix.
