Whale Aquasource Mains Water Connection or Aquaroll Mains Ada...

Hi there

I have a Whale Aquasource Mains Water Connection, but have used it once. The reason being that a friend told me that using this can ruin the pump on the van due to the pressure. When I used it I made sure that there was enough water coming through and then turned the pressure down.

He has an Aquaroll Mains Adaptor and he has said this is the best method.

Can anyone give me advice which system is best?

Thanks

Dougy

Hi Dougy,

The danger of connecting mains straight to the van is that you put the whole water system of the caravan under the same pressure as the water mains and if there is a weakness "look out".

If, however, you use the Aquaroll system you are just topping up your aquaroll like you top up your toilet system, with a ball valve type assembly. And so your caravan system is working "as normal" without any increase in pressure. So this has to be the way to go.

Good luck.

Dougy, I have tried both and now use the Aquaroll connection. I had three different Aquasources and all three leaked at the connection with the 'van. Also, I was always very wary of the potential for filling the 'van with water if anything went wrong with the reducing valve! Have had the Aquaroll connector for 2 years now and am very pleased with it. Neal

Hi Dougy

I have gone back to traditional 12 volt pump after my aqua source failed and soaked the floor under the bed and I had to dry it out and replace carpet. I still stay on super pitches with water and fill my aqua roll with a hose. Pat.
