What do you stand on?

This may sound a silly question - but it isn't!

We have recently changed our caravan, the last two had large end washrooms, this one a smaller side washroom with the toilet right next to the shower tray - separated by a curtain when you use the shower.

In fact as a man I stand in the shower tray to address the toilet!

So the question is - what do you use to put in the shower tray so you don't get wet feet when someone has just had a shower?

Can you recomend something?

Many thanks.

When I had this set up we always dried the shower after use (in fact we still do even though we now have a separate shower). I always stood on the foam mat supplied with the caravan. My fear was walking some kind of debris into the shower tray and causing damage.

A previous owner of our caravan made a slatted wooden base that goes in the bottom of the shower compartment - it lifts out fairly easily for cleaning, but other wise I leave it in there whether showering, or using that room for other reasons - although you can still get damp feet if you go in there straight after somoene has showered, at least you're not standing in a puddle if the shower water has been slow to drain away.

It's also good for protecting the floor of the shower are if, like me, you transport water carriers etc in the shower room during transit.
