OK so we took the plunge and upgraded from a 1995 van to a 2008 model.
Can someone tell me when I stop spending Money??
Here goes;
Purchase Van
Purchase motor mover
Up grade Insurance (Ouch)
Buy Alko Towball
Buy wet and dry and Brake cleaner to clean towball and new cover for ball
New mirrors
And if thats not enough SWMBO decides on
New fluffy shower mat
New Sheets for bed
New quilt cover (the other one's are the wrong colour)
New tea coffee sugar containers (again wrong colour)
New saucepans
Sleeping bag for the Grandson (dont mind that one he he)
She has also decided that the porch awning we have already, has faded and it wont look right against the newer van.

But you know what I dont really mind it's a great feeling spending the kids inheritance

The full awning we have is going up for sale, size 12 Dorema, it is to small for the new van plus we have the Dorema porch 3.0m x 2.5m and is sufficient for our use so if we change it will be for a 3.0m and above porch type.

Don't forget a couple of LaFuma relaxers if you want to keep up with your neighbours on site. They'll set you back a couple of hundred quid

I can just imagine you FG sat in your riversway chair, feet up, crocs in the air, beer in one hand and a wine in the other.
Happy days!!!!

Ended up with the Cadac bbq as well, although I cant remember the price they seem quite expensive last time I looked

Been looking on the net at the Cadac, dont know if I'm right or not but they dont seem to be what I'm looking for,
Is the Cadac actually a griddle where you cook the meat on a tray?
Not a BBQ in my eyes, got to admit I lprefer the taste of the original charcol or at least with a gas BBQ you do have the lava rock which you can add the chicory flavouring.
Please tell me if I have got it completly wrong!!!

We don't bother with BBQ, Cadac, bonfire or whatever. We've got an oven in the van which cost a lot of money

Apart from that if there's a Toby Carvery in the vicinity we go there. Can't complain about £5.25 with no cleaning of BBQ kit, plates, cutlery etc.

Now come on LB you cant beat a burnt shriveled sausage, over cooked steak, biscuit beefburger with a pint in hand.
In this countries sunny climate this happens at least twice a year. Oh i can taste it now.

Our Cadac remains under the bed gathering dust. It took us ages to clean when we used it two years ago. I regret to admit it was a waste of money.
I have used a disposable BBQ from Tesco for £2.00 and it worked but again I can't see all the effort was really worth it.
Kev what you really need is a slow cooker. Set it up in the morning and come home whenever you want and there is an excellent hot meal, with no smoke in your eyes. They cost about £30.

Are the new pans going to fit the new glass lids you've already bought?

Val, I need you to keep this to yourself, promise me, I made her return the glass lid set and we agreed to keep using the old set with of course metal lids.
But oh no, along comes the new van and so we start all over again,
So off she goes again and buy's another set, now this got me going I,m telling her there is no way I want glass lids in my van and if she insisted on keeping them I told her she had to pack them all individualy and if they broke she would clear up the mess.
(you have to bear in mind that after posting on here and finding others use them I knew there was to be no problems and I'm only ranting and raving to save face!!!!)
Her reply--------------------------COOK YOUR OWN MEALS

Hi DD, Already use the slow cooker, but as I like filling the camp site with smoke (only joking) I like sitting out and watching the world go by
and when its ready it's ready. If I wanted to cook in a kitchen I'd stay home

I have up to now just used a £10.00 BBQ with the charcol, but I am getting more aware about flying ash etc when there is a slight wind.so on that note that is why I thought I'd cook on gas. Ps Dont know why the type has changed!!!!!

It took man thousands of years to learn to cook indoors. Why on earth do you want to turn the clock back?
