Where to take them

We are planning to take our two grandchildren aged 6 and 4 away in our 'van next June. We'd like a site that was fully-serviced, but had a good play area and within a couple of hours towing from Uckfield, East Sussex and ideally in an area with children's things to go and see or do. Is this too tall an order? Suggestions would be very gratefully received.

Great site in south Devon called DORNAFIELD, just outside Newton Abbot. They have some fully serviced pitches which even include your own chemical disposal. The site has a good wooded area for children to play, no club on site but lots to do in the area and of course the seaside just down the road. We think it is about the best site we have stayed on, very friendly and spotless. you should try and get a pitch up the top end near the kids area as they are the bigger pitches.
Hope this helps

Another South Devon site which is first class is Widend at Marldon - equal distance to Paignton, Torquay, Totnes and Brixham. It ticks all your boxes and is a family run site purely for families. In all the years we have been going there we have never experienced any trouble.
