Hi, is anyone staying here over the new year? We are a little worried with the weather if people will be going. I love the cold etc but not storms. Also has anyone stayed her at new year before?

What are these storms you have forecasted we are over a week away from new year, may be if you dont like wind dont go near the coast, and don't pick a site full of trees, Would'nt like one of them to come down on my caravan. We travel to Scotland for new year been doing it for the last 6 years never had a problem,157 miles of motorway and a mile and half of A road to the site, simples.

Hi Dan & Paula, you haven't said where you are going to be staying so it's difficult to form a reply to your question. As for the storms, there are strong gusts of wind in central England tonight wit more stormy weather expected over the weekend. When were you thinking of travelling?

.......that can be false logic.
No problems in the last 6 years does not mean you are never going to meet any and you obviously go to the same site every year so now know roughly what to expect.
2001 in Edinburgh over New Year..........2ft of snow and temperatures down to -16 degC!

The OP is only asking if any one has experience or information about a specific site in Cheshire at a specific time of the year.

Cheshirecat, switch the tv on and check the forecast! I understand that we are a few days away from new year, however it's looking likely that the weather isn't going to be ideal. It'd be great to turn up on a site with no trees in reach but unfortunately that option is not always available on the booking form.

Thanks Parksy, we are heading to Southport from Morecambe on 28th. I will prob see what's happening the day before and make a decision. I like new year away but not if there's only three caravans on site in the wind and rain. There's a point when it's better to stay at home.

thanks again.
