Chertsey C & CC site. On the edge of the Thames, open all year, surprisingly quiet. Within walking distance of town - pubs, restaurants, Sainsbury's. About 10 miles from Windsor. You can walk or cycle to Windsor if you're up for it, mainly on the riverside path.

We visited Windsor whilst staying at Four Oaks C.Club site in Henley which is also convenient for quite a few other places worth visiting especially if stately homes are of interest. Henley itself is nice too.

Have alook at Wellington Country Park, Swallowfield Nr Reading.

Pitches are in the woods, in small 4 pitch areas. Been there many times access to the C/park great for kids and adults.

If you are looking at the dog show, stay on the showground... you can pitch down by the river in the shadow of the castle almost.

I think Lisa has sorted this as she posted just below for a CL near Windsor.

The dog show camping is expensive she said, quite frankly staying Windsor side of the M4 and not having to cross or use it to get to the Dog Show makes the most sense.

Slough and M4 or M25 can grind to rapid halt at any time, Chertsey givers her easy non M'way routee if she wants to ge to the show on time
