We stayed there to visit the illuminations.
Access is very good as the entrance is on a main trunck road junction and contolled by traffic lights and security is not too bad. There is a guard on the entrance who merrily waves you in despite no sticker issued to your car to signify you belong there. He must must of passed the mensa test for number plate recognition!!
Prodominately it is a static park with a touring area for good measure. The access roads are a bit narrow and pitches are tight but for a couple of days you would be hard pressed to beat the convienience factor.
Onsite shoping is bloody expensive but as your only 15mins from town there are plenty of "off site" options.
Toilet block is basic but bearable.
AS with most sites around Blackpool when it's wet the ground just goes to bog.
Summertime I would guess would be manic.
