As usual we will continue to caravan through the winter but we are going more extreme than normal. At New Year we are off from Bristol to Glenmore Forest Holiday site at Aviemore. Could anyone give us any tips about where to get a winter cover for our fridge air vent and where to get insulated jackets for the water containers (40 litre Aquaroll and a 50 litre WaterHog) and our waste water container (Aquaroll make) - Thank you

Hi Jane.

We quite litterally caravan 365 days a year.

I would strongly advise that you purchase the manufacturer's own fridge vent covers. You unfortunately will have to purchase these via your local caravan centre. Our's for our thetford fridge in our Abbey 540se cost us

Hi steve

We also have the Abbey Spectrum 540 (2007) so we have the on board tank and my husband is fitting a second one. The tip for the coats round the water containers is brilliant especially using the sleeves to protect the pump.

I hadn't considered what happens if the site water supply freezes. I am hoping that if we are prepared we should have 90 litres on board and another 90 outside in the water containers which should give us some breathing space.

We will get onto the dealer about a winter vent cover. Thank you for your advice. We love caravanning in winter and enjoying frosty days and then coming back to our cozy home from home.
