Cant cut the grass, clean the patio, brush the decking, paint the fence or even spray the neighbours cats with water!!!!!

Oh and I spend far toooo much time on here :)

Cant wait for the lighter evenings.

What do you do in these dark, cold dismal evenings?

Can cut the grass, can clean the patio, can brush the decking, can paint the fence, can (always) spray the neighbours cat . Where's your spirit of adventure, mind you everyone else might think you 'crackers'! Hasn't lights and electricity arrived down there yet? ---- Oh and by the way -- on dark dismal evenings I write facetious comments on here!!!! ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) :p :p :p :p :p

Just been in my nice warm van  removing the microwave so that i could get to the screws to remove the combined striplight holder that sits under the cupboards and it also hides the extractor fan .... got there in the end and managed to source a new one from Amazon .... it's a little job to do as the old one has become noisy ...

Dy'know Kev that's the first 'male' van I've heard of. They are generally female!

One female in the house is enough thank you.
Even the dog is male :)

Spend my time, deciding where to go next, its down to Morten in the Marsh or Rutland caravan park, , for mid January, Mortens got more pubs but Rutland has a swiming pool, maybe a night cap and spin a coin, .

The other evening OH and I assembled one of them plastic storage box/shed things. Pitch dark except for the very very slowly brightening energy saving bulb of the outside light, and one of them light sabre things from Aldi that Sprocket persuaded us all to buy. It was also chucking it down with sleet for a while. The air was illuminated with blue when I tipped all the black screws onto the dark wet patio. Although completely unable to see because the light sabre got repeatedly shone in my eyes instantly robbing me of any dark adaptation as my pupils slammed down to pin pricks, managed to somehow locate most of them. At some point after some time struggling OH said, "we could take the doors into the (warm, dry, well lit) kitchen and put the locks and hinges on in there. Didn't know whether to kick myself for not thinking of it sooner, or kick him for thinking of it at all.
Happy Days.

Crazyguider, I must apologise, I thought it was Mel that went to Rutland CP. I now think I made the wrong decision, and should have gone to Rutland rather than Hertford C &CC. Quite muddy even on a hardstanding, but very nice wardens Cliff and his wife. Didnt meet the others.
There is a little cl site behind the Plough Inn, in Gretham.

Yes it was I!
I remember seeing the little CL site, too. There is also a very nice postoffice/bakery too.
When we stayed in 2013 at Whitsun, we were on the family field on a hardstanding facing an enormous square of grass, for tents, but as it was unused by any, it became an enormous game space, which the wardens fully condoned. The pool and lodges hadn't been built then either.
We had a great and would definitely return.
