wireless speakers

In our Senator Indiana there is a problem listening to the TV at the bed end when playing DVD, or listening to the radio/CD in bed. This is because the TV is in the middle but the speakers for the radio and DVD/CD are at the front, 18 feet away from me and Mrs Meldrew2 when in bed. (The TV has speakers, which is fine for live TV, but the DVD sound comes only from the front speakers). As I don't wish to disturb our neighbours by having the front speakers on loud enough to be audible at the back, I am thinking of putting additional speakers at the back over the bed. Easy enough, except that I would prefer not to run any wires through the van that would involve drilling holes. A solution I have in mind would be to use wireless speakers, but I have no idea how these work. The transmitter and the speakers would need to be self powered (battery I suppose).

Does anyone have any knowledge of a system that would solve this problem?

Take a look on here....

( Wireless Speakers pick up signals sent from your CD player, computer, iPod, TV, SKY satellite decoder, or any audio device by connecting a transmitter (supplied with each speaker set) which plugs into the headphone or phono sockets of these devices. They are simple to setup even for those with no technical experience. )

it is quite straightforward to run cable to the back of an indiana,we bought bailey speakers as they fitted in well but Maplins do similar ones that would fit.Ribbon cable pulls through easily without drilling any holes and we have had no interference from laying the cables alongside the volt carrying cables. We also moved the radio to just under the clock and the remote works from the bed.

Thanks for the replies - on further investigation it looks like it will have to be a cable solution as the the radio/cd/dvd does not have a headphone socket which the wireless device seems to need. I like the idea of moving the whole thing to the front locker - more food for thought!
