Hi All

Bit late in some ways as I've already posted a couple of times but....

We've just got a Bailey Pageant series 6 Provence (2008) which we will be towing witha Mondeo 2.2 tdci titanium X estate. This falls outside the 85% rule but we don't have an awning and as there will only be 2 of us and the dog we can keep the weight down so we should be OK (fingers crossed).

So far we've had a weekend away at Gaer Hyfrid in Denbighshire, North Wales where we produced some entertainment for the other campers with our "learning experiences" (aka making a complete mess of it) while settin up. Many thanks to those who stopped laughing and help us out. This is a brilliant small site with wonderful rangers, Johny and Nerys, who could not be more helpful.

We're off in North Wales again next weekend largely cos it's handy with nice scenery

Cheers

John and Nicola

Hi John & Nicola

Welcome to the forum, better late than never!

Good luck with the caravan, 85% is merely a guideline and not a rule as such. Careful loading and driving with attention to tyre pressures should ensure that you tow safely.

Making a mess of things whilst setting up as a newbie is all part of the fun, we were all newbies at some time.

If you have any questions just ask.
