Not been there yet but we are going in a few weeks time. Believe is a nice site but some of the pitches which have the best view can also be a bit windy.

The only thing I am aware of is roadworks on the A540 where you join Station Road. The junction has been closed for a few months now and I think its still closed off. A diversion is in place down Church Road, but I've not tried going down there with a caravan (its usually one way). Probably best checking with the site before you go.

Dave, we visited the site 3yrs ago in April after a period of heavy rain and although their was lots of water about, the pitches where useable. Some overlook the Dee estury so get one of those if possible. The site entrance road is shared with a static site and a boat club but a good main approach. The boat club have a Bar which is open Wed night and Sunday afternoon and the members are very friendly. The static site also have a Bar but I think its only open weekends in the main season, but you are welcome to use it. Both are only 2min walk, left to the boat club and dee foreshore, right to the static club on the corner has you leave the CC site. You can also walk along the foreshore at low water all the way and across to Hilbre Island, watched a Perigrin Falcon chasing a pidgeon on one visit, and you can walk back via the wirral way, which is the old railway line and runs right outside the CC site. Its also ok for bikes if your not keen walkers. All in all, a quite site just far away from the hustle and bustle for a short break and near enought to Liverpool via the tunnel if you fancy a visit.

Hope you enjoy your stay.
