Sir I see in today's Sunday Express that you are selling your estate in Ross on Wye, Herefordshire for £1.6 million. The write up and photo look pretty impressive until one reads the final paragraph. The down side appears that you are having difficulty in maintaining the 25 acres of land. If this is the case why not make it into an upmarket caravan site and open the mansion as a select club house for discerning caravanners. I am sure some of your servants would be only too pleased to run the site on your behalf whilst you good lady and self could perambulate the estate and take wine with the caravanners. You could reside in the quietness of the two bedroomed coach house away from the masses for privacy.

I think the above would be a golden opportunity for you to ensure the estate is well maintained, be kept in the family for future generations and also a nice steady source of income. If you wished to go further the caravan site could be turned into a plc. and then sell shares on the open market.

"take wine with the caravanners".... Good lord Colin, you expect me to mingle and socialise with mere commoners?

I have now cancelled the sale because my good friend Charles has informed me that he is building a mansion on the Harewood End estate of his and he intends it to be for Willers. It is rumoured, although Charles didn't make me privy to this you understand, that it will be the marital home of Willers and Kate. Just think of having them as neighbours and the elevation it could mean for me in social circles :O)

Could your up market caravan site be granted "Royal Status"? Think of the likes of Mrs Bucket on your estate.

I think I know why there are these stories about LB selling his estate. In the News of the World yesterday tucked away was a piece about Tony Blair and his interviews with the police about 'cash for honours'and it seems a Lord in the Hereford area may be implicated and it stated that he may be selling up so he can do a runner.Details are a big vague but it was not clear if what was reported referred to Braykewynde or that Tony broke wind.

Cris I do not see the importance for a Sunday paper scoop of a milking maid kissing a cow - maybe this is the **** Lord B was referring to in his previous posting. There is an old saying in south Wales " God and Lord B work in mysterious ways, but which is the more mysterious?"
