Hello Jacquie

We have only done the coast in North Yorkshire, the park is called Sandfield House Farm in Whitby, most pitches have sea views, and it's a short walk to the beach and town, you can check reviews on www.ukcampsites.co.uk.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jacquie, we spent 10 days at Brown Moor, Caravan Club site in Hawes, North Yorkshire in the centre of the Yorkshire Dales and had a fantastic time. We had days out travelling right across the moors to Skipton and Seetle. The Wensleydale cheese factory is really worth a visit.

To get a little inland and so away from coastal weather but with plenty of space try St Helens (formerly St Helens on the Park) at Wykeham on the A170 towards Pickering. If you want to miss the coast completely the Forestry Commission site at Spiers House near Cropton is very pleasant and well equipped.

i wouldn't go to sandfield house ever again, its too "military" it took nearly an hour to read the rules, and on the 1st day we parked the car on the other side of the van to get shopping out easier and we were hounded within seconds and spoke to in a very unprofessional manner, we payed for a week up front and after 2 days we left, we went to the caravan club site brown moor, absolutly brilliant site, oh by the way sandfield refused to give us the money back for the other 5 days, if you like being dominated, and ordered what to do go there, but me, never again, sorry to sound so negative, but i would rather tell it like it is than lie.

Have a look around Flamborough. There a few small commercials and the pubs are pleasant, there are very nice walks, and the North Star does a lovely lunch and its hot chocolates are to die for.
