Pitches very tight at domanie la huchet, took me 30 mins to get off our pitch and had literally mm to spare, between the trees, goodness knows how I managed it, its close to the ferry port though being a couple of miles from St Malo centre

Chateau de gandspette is our favourite, 25mins from calais, its near St Omer, handy for the supermarkets, there is a small carefour and a netto nearby too. Also next to a war musem set in the forest. Its in a village called eperleques

Thanks all, decided to cancel calais return, now sailing from Dieppe which works out roughly the same price once fuel/tolls taken out from where we are staying in Normandy. I guess I should stop fretting but I really dident want to expose my little kids to anything like I have seen in the news

I am hoping all will be ok, but things appear to be getting worse, not sure if I should cancel return journey and sail from Dunkirk

Sailing to/from Calais this year, having seen all the horror stories of immigrants blocking the truckers etc, I am concerned that it may not be safe to travel that route. Is it just the trucks that have the trouble? Has anybody returned recently and witnessed anything? I have visions of them...
