Alko ATC jammed / stuck on ... evidently not a 'fail safe' system

Thanks for the link. Yes, you would have thought it would be reasonable for such a device to revert to being inactive in the event of a loss of power, not potentially get stuck in the 'on' position! I see they in fact have premises in Coventry, so will be seeking their thoughts!

Alko ATC jammed / stuck on ... evidently not a 'fail safe' system

A general Google reveals what I mention below to not be uncommon but it searching ATC / ATC stuck and similar variations on this forum yields little, the most promising at first glance being something from 2008 which I chose not to reply to. Basically, we noticed when taking the caravan to be...

Is it me or is a chunk of the original message/question missing?

    Whale IC Pump Problems

Having just upgraded our pump system with the "the IC yellow thing" I do wonder quite how it works and how critical the timing might be on the calibration process. From memory you let water run for a while, turn it off, push the button, let a tap run for 20 seconds, then turn it off, then...

Bailey 'covid-19' 6 month warranty / annual service deadline extension muddle

All good stuff and true, but what about the thrust of the question in hand: Where now stands the cut-off date for 1st, 2nd, 4th or 5th year service in the light of the 6 month extension. Is it 6 months after the purchase anniverary, or 6 months plus the long-standing 6 week leeway??

Bailey 'covid-19' 6 month warranty / annual service deadline extension muddle

Was hoping someone might have the inside track on obtaining/sharing the text of what I have just discovered was a Bailey "bulletin sent to [their] Retailer network on the 18th March 2020 in regards to the extension to the 2020 service window". Can't see Bailey sharing it direct with the public...

Bailey 'covid-19' 6 month warranty / annual service deadline extension muddle

Couldn't see anything in the search facility on this so here goes. Not sure if anyone outside of Bailey (from whom I'm not as yet getting 100% clarity) can ever actually know the precise answer at this time and it will just be down to possibly arguing the point with Bailey in the months or...

I'm impressed with the new format.

Its a fairly wide screen desktop monitor. Just tried amusing you with a photo of it, but uploads now not working, it seems!

I'm impressed with the new format.

Just logged in here for the first time in ages (will be trying to search for clarity/comment elsewhere on Bailey's rumoured six month warranty extension amid the Covid thing) and immediately had to groan at the new look. Thankfully, this thread was one of the first things to leap out at me to...

Alko Wheel Lock lining up probs

WD-40 is bad for locks. Its a rust-inhibitor, not a lubricant. It dries to a dust and dirt-attracting gunge.

    Tyrons

Were these Tyron things ever fitted as standard by the likes of Bailey etc. in the factory? That would surely answer the question as to whether I have them already. I presume not, as its not really a visible thing so is more likely just an unnecessary cost to manufacturers and else they'd have...

    Tyrons

Anyone know of any other "bands" fitted to caravan wheels/tyres? Tried booking into my local ATS for some new caravan tyres and the chap said, oooh, no, does it have steel tyre bands (or whatever his precise phrase), they're a pain and take 40 minutes per tyre and the only fitter qualified to...

    Tyrons

Out of interest, what speed do you reckon you were doing when clipped the kerb, and was the blowout at that moment, or else how long after? Kerb clipping, or shocks that are the equivalent of, is obviously best avoided but must happen here and there quite often at lowish speeds so I was...

Certificated sites directory or guide book?

Might there be any books, else websites, that are a good solid guide to so-called certificated sites (or certified sites, as everyone seems to call them in practice)? I know there's the C&C Club, and C&M Club listing but they're very cursory. I mean review or directories that give a real...

    New tyres: best provider

Yeah, but, so how do they do it, then? What stops it pivoting away off the jack, for example?
