Reviews for Le Septentrion Camping at Brulon

Thanks for trying Val, I usually do similar to your routine but have given up trying to beat the dutch away. We can't get off before about nine a.m. The secret I found is don't check wheels and tyres, don't check caravan lights and car electrics work, don't check anything in fact, just hook up...

    Remoska Cooker

Had one for many years but it's getting past its best now, replacements are a forbidding price. Anyway can't praise Remoska enough but our version gets very hot on the casing. Be very careful where you lay the lid down. We cook curries in it and cut the meat up quite small and don't brown it...

Reviews for Le Septentrion Camping at Brulon

Excuse me for my first topic errors. We are collecting our caravan from storage in France and Brulon (Sarthe) seems handy for us to organise it before moving on. It is in the ACSI book but not Camping Cheques this year but I can't find any reviews on it anywhere. Have any of you campers been...

    Cros de Mouton Cote'd'Azur

Met someone in Provence in June who had just left that site. Theymoved because it was extremely steep , had to be towed on pitch by site staff. They said it was nice site if you were mountain goats. But you may like this type of site of course.

    Campsites near Troyes

Hi Madeleine, should be OK at that time, but I usually phone ahead on the day. Never been turned away but here are the details of the sites I mentioned. L'Epine Aux Moines, Geraudot, 10220 Aube. Tel: 03 25 41 24 36. Have your French Phrase Book ready as they spoke no English. Sunelia Lac de...

    Northern France

We stopped off at a site called Camping Caravanning Du Chateau D'Hardelot at Condette. It deserved a longer stay than we gave it so we are stopping off again this year. It is a clean, very french site with 70 pitches. Centre Ville is 500m, supermarket 300m, Le Touquet 15km, Boulogne 12km. There...

    Campsites near Troyes

We usually stay at L'epine aux Moines camping at Geraudot, Lac D'orient. It is a municipal but clean and friendly and has a lake in front of the site with a beach. If you push on a little there is a good site with indoor pool at Langres, Sunelia, Lac de La Liez. There is a lake with a beach and...

    camping cheques

I have used camping cheques for a few years now and have never been turned away in May/June in France. I, being a belt and braces person phone ahead en-route just to be sure. I understand you can get the site you are leaving to do this for you but you might change your mind en-route. Your...

    Battery Suitability

Thanks Will, bought a new 85 amp yesterday and hoping for the best. I'll minimise the use of the mover and sharpen up my reversing skills.

    Stopover needed south of Rouen

The sites I posted are on the basis that I assumed you want a site as a stopover Carol, there are more comfortable sites in the area for longer stays.

    Stopover needed south of Rouen

We stopped at Le Clos Normand in Bourg-Achard. You can walk into the town in five minutes. Two good size supermarkets where you can stock up for your journey and carry it back on foot. It is a nice little site which has just installed a swimming pool but the toilet block is a little tired but...

    Battery Suitability

Been looking at Energy 100 AH SFL Batteries but not sure if they are suitable for my caravan (Carver mover fitted). Don't know much about batteries, just want to know if it would suit and that I could get my quick release connections on it. It suggests that I would be able to use it to start my...

    le chateau de poinsouze limousin

Intended to stay at Poinsouze last June for 2-3 days and stayed for 11 days. You will not be disappointed, it is excellent from the first class facilities (you won't find a cleaner site) to the large pitches. The electric varies from pitch to pitch so be sure you choose that which suits you, you...
