Unfortunately reversed into a tap on site and punched hole in rear of van. See photo attached. As I live in Jersey and van is in UK, I have sealed the hole with white tack temporarily but will need to repair when I get back to UK for 3 weeks on 26th July. Checked all You Tube videos and advices...

Update - Used the little grey cells and gave the caravan what it wanted. Two 12v 21w bulbs connected to the fuse box in the caravan and housed in a Hella Flasher/Brake light unit next to the fuse box.- Cost £6. Now works perfectly!

Update - I bought the VLM6 but unfortunately this did not solve the problem so I got a refund. Sargent support are now looking into this and maybe I can get the answer I need.

Thanks for the link. I had something similar fitted a few years ago. LED on van, not on older Citroen. Not quite the same. I will speak to Sargent asap. Better be sure before forking out £155.

Thanks for that. I had searched but did not find this thread. My gut feeling is that car and caravan are both ok, but if power is switched in too quickly relays or whatever can’t take it and opt out and when power is applied lightly it is accepted. Any electrician’s opinions would be welcomed.
