    Portable 3 way fridges

Has anyone any experience of the Igloo Koolmate 40? It appears to be as big as the Combicool but a lot cheaper. I know it's not 3-way (no gas) but as it cools 23 degrees below ambient temperature it seems to get cooler than the Combicool.

    GHOSTS IN THE CARAVAN

I can certainly sympathise with your experiences. We used to arrive on site, and find bottles/cans of beer lying on the floor of the van. The only place they could have come from was the fridge, but that was not only shut - but locked as well! Various thoughts ran through our heads, such as did...

    Chirk & nearby

We've booked for Chirk for the weekend. From what I can see, Llangollen looks to be a promising day out, crossing the aqueduct etc. Does anyone know of any other "must-sees" close by? Thanks in anticipation.

    Engaging motor mover for security

Thank you. I thought as much, but wanted to potentially supplement existing clamp/hitchlock/alarm, especially reading other pposts recently about the ease of stealing vans.

    Engaging motor mover for security

We've ordered a motor mover for our van which we hope to receive soon. Does anyone know whether a motor mover could be engaged and "locked" in place to act as a wheel clamp? Or would this create too much pressure on the tyre(s) to think of using on a regular basis? Hope to hear from anyone who...

Wyatts Covert Just off the m25.

There is a small airfield quite close by, but there's no problem at all with noise levels. We've stayed a few times and do like it - up to usual CC standards

    Truma Motor Mover

Interested to read about the potential problems with gravel, getting in the rollers etc. Does this mean that hardstandings (which are becoming more common on sites now) would create a problem. Has anyone any experience to pass on?

    Fixed beds - which one?

Anyone who has the Senator Indiana? Does the fixed bed have sprung upholstery? The online manual suggests it is foam-filled but the spec on the website says the upholstery is sprung.

    Milenco Wheel clamp

Has anyone any experience of using the Milenco with alloy wheels. I've had the Milenco for almost 4 years & have found it's no problem with steel wheels/plastic hubs, but I'm concerned it might rub & scratch against alloys. Any thoughts?

Bailey Pageant Champagne Caravan (3yrs old)

Hi. We've had the Champagne for almost 3 years and can't really fault it. One or two niggles but otherwise it's been good. If you want to email me at bigmurps@aol.com I'll go into further detail with you.

    Bed sizes - under 6'3"

On the theme of bed sizes: we are considering the Senator Indiana. The portion of the bed chopped off to access the toilet/shower is on the side of the bed I normally sleep on. I am wondering if this has caused a problem for anyone with feet hanging out of bed etc. ( I am 5'10" tall )

    VW Passat 1.9 TDi (100)

See the posting in General topics re the Alhambra. Recommend at least the 115bhp engine.

    under performance?

I agree with the previous replies. We have a Sharan, albeit with 130bhp engine rather than 115 but there is not that much difference, and easily pulls a Pageant of 1350kg. I also have a Passat with the same 115bhp and that is a superb engine. Have you checked the handbrake ??!! (Only joking)

    Wheel clamps

Same as Robert - we have the Milenco on a Pageant Champagne. Easy to fit - a bit bulky when not in use but I don't know of any that fold flat!
