ALKO A Frame and Damper Mount Problem (would appreciate more input)

Hi Roger Its the front damper retaining bolt that keeps snapping, not the damper itself. I've checked the damper and it's functioning correctly. You can see the bolt in the photo above.

ALKO A Frame and Damper Mount Problem (would appreciate more input)

Thanks Damien. The damper appears to be working correctly. Since the new front damper bolt was fitted the whole towbar/damper assembly is now quite rigid. I can't see any other signs of damage to the metal work and I've checked all the way along to the axle. I've attached a photo of the bolt...

Thanks for that information, Damien, much appreciated. Another industry person has also suggested I replace the damper. Would you concur?

ALKO A Frame and Damper Mount Problem (would appreciate more input)

Hi John, thanks for your interest. Yes, of course my Disco has air suspension which gives a great ride, but my service engineer also suggested it may cause issues for the same reasons you stated. I'm hoping this thought may be developed by those more in the know. It is possible to weld it...

Slight leak around rear large Heki

Thanks for all your help everyone. In the end I decided to use W4 Mastic. The old mastic came off very easily by being rolled off using a flat screw driver blade and the rooflight has now been refitted. The old mastic was almost none existent on the 2 front corners where the water was getting...

Slight leak around rear large Heki

Thanks guys. Regarding the Soudall, I take you mean RV61? Will one tube be enough to go all around a Heki 2? Is that all I should use?

Slight leak around rear large Heki

Cheers Damian. Hadn't really wanted to have to remove and reseal it but if that is what is needed I will have to get on with it. Only immediate issue is removing the little grills underneath the inside out undamaged as they seem a little frail!

Slight leak around rear large Heki

Hi all. There must be a slight leak in the sealant at the from corner of my Heki rooflight as we are getting a bit of water in when it rains hard, which is dripping down through the grills along the front edge. I plan to take out the outer sealant for a few mms with a pick tool and replace it...
