    PLEASE HELP QUICK

Is it a 13 pin or is it the black 7 pin you've hit? I thought it was the grey socket you've hit.

    PLEASE HELP QUICK

Black socket is all legal driving stuff, grey socket is auxiliary stuff and reverse lights (not legal on the trailer). If it's the grey you went through, tow for now and cut and re apply plug later.

    Fridge setting when towing.

Fridge on 12v, main van panel set to car (van panel may vary, not sure). Disconnect from mains, connect to car, turn car on. Bare in mind the 12v doesn't chill the fridge, it can only maintain it, so make sure you use mains or gas to bring it down to temperature before the journey.

    Tv ariel

That's the amplifier for the aerial, far left is the feed from the aerial, the other 3 cables will go to sockets in the van. Could try plugging directly into that spare output and see if you get a feed, or buy a new amplifier and swap it out, in my case the aerial itself was knackered.

Help with Lunar ariva 2001 manual/awning size

I have a porch awning already, just enough for shoes and a bin really, struggle for space and it's an arse to fit but it will do for now. Thinking if I get a full awning it will give me a bit more space, and one for sale near me appears to be 1 size too big. My van is 785cm and it's an NR...

Help with Lunar ariva 2001 manual/awning size

I know it's a long shot. I'm back tomorrow anyway so I can measure up, but then I can't get the awning 😁 I know it was unlikely.

Help with Lunar ariva 2001 manual/awning size

Hi All, I have a Lunar Ariva GTS 2 berth 2001. I'm hoping someone out there either has one or a manual for one. I'm buying a full awning for it, there's a couple available near me but my van is an hour away so I can't check it. The Internet has 3 different ideas of size for my van from 780 to...

    Twin electrics

Yeah I use twin 7s into a 13, I'm saying I don't physically have the cabling in my caravans wires.

    Twin electrics

I only know for sure after replacing the 7 pin sockets on mine and finding 5 core cable on the grey. It's not a huge issue because when I'm traveling the fridge runs on 12v and the battery isn't needed, I guess at a push I could of run it off grid and used the car to charge the leisure battery...

    Twin electrics

Its a 2001 lunar arriva, all looks original but of course I would never know. I fitted 2 new 7 pins to it last week and the grey cable is only 5 core, not 7, doesn't even have the feeds available.

    Twin electrics

Depends on the caravan, I have a (slightly older) 2001 and the wiring isn't available to charge the battery through the car. It does however power the fridge so that will do me, but not sure how many vans don't have the battery wiring.

    Twin electrics

100% do not just get single 7 pin. The fridge, battery charge and reverse light are all on the remaining pins. Upto you wether you get twin 7 pin, or 13 pin, they both have the same connections available and can be adapted between. Worth noting that certain cars and towbars (most detachable for...

    Battery/power issues

If all AGM have that vent available without me trawling the Internet, I'm fine venting it, that may be my easier option. I was thinking about feeding a battery charger in using the 240v socket anyway, but I'm unsure about how to "disable" the caravans inbuilt charger so put that one on hold

    Battery/power issues

Just to make sure I'm not miss Reading. I could fit an AGM or LIon under the bench seat safely providing I upgrade the charger for the LIon?

    Battery/power issues

Would the standard "built in" charging facility still be able to work with an AGM or Lithium? Or do I need to stick with lead batteries for the older van? I will look into getting solar next, I'm apprehensive about spending too much if I end up upgrading the van, but I do want stuff to work, so...
