    Smart phone broken

Crawling around in cupboards to wire up a rear view camera in the van I also broke the screen on my phone. Looked at replacement went for a phone on Ebay then found out that phones with cracked screen can carry on working fine in fact the young are deliberately cracking their screen's as it's...

    Tyrepal batteries

Thanks for that as I had lost my instruction book and I never thought to look on line. Mind you I still don’t know how long roughly they last as when tugging down to Spain I don’t want to have to pull over and change batteries. Last winter I changed them anyway so perhaps I had better do the...

HI. Does anyone know how often you need to change the batteries in the sender units of the Tyrepal set up? Cheers.

2017/18 Blown Air or 2016 Wet Heating Caravan.

We have had blown heating in five motorhomes and now have changed to a caravan with wet heating an we love it and we would definitely not want to go back to the blow one even if we go back to motorhoming.

    ATC or not?

I have felt ours come loads of times and its not violent braking and once when I had to take emergency swerving action it straightened the van in no time, IMO worth every penny.........I'm not an employee honest.

    Nose weight problem reduced.

What can I say? Ever since travelling with an empty tank the towing has been very stable including our winter escape to southern Spain at around 3,400 miles. Could it be some drivers are more alert to slight changes to the tow vehicle behaviour? For example I am a retired mechanic so I still...

    Nose weight problem reduced.

I also found instability while towing when I forgot to drain down the water tank but when I mentioned it, it was rubbished so it’s nice to see some else experience it.

    Nose weight problem reduced.

I had a similar experience to this when not empting the water, it would be interesting to do some test reading on this.

    Tow hitch weight.

Love it! You are not too far from reality there as this is our first caravan bought last year and when we loaded the van up as we would have the motorhome ( five motorhomes over the last twenty years)and visited the local weigh bridge we had one heck of a shock, way, way over the legal limit...

    Tow hitch weight.

I know and that is why we have a seven seater Galaxy as a tow car; Towing limit 2000.00kg Gross vehicle weight 2505.00kg and would you believe we even go the weigh bridge to make sure we are not over the legal limit. :)

    Tow hitch weight.

To be honest one of the reasons I plump to not go with the scales was our scales are glass….don’t ask…so I think I would really be in the dog house if I damaged them, plus the fact they are very heavy. I will compare the readings I get with the Reich weight gauge to be on the safe side but...

But heavier? Also I am not an obsessive and there are no pockets in a shroud.

    Tow hitch weight.

Thanks for all the feedback, one thing does seem clear on this is that it could become an obsession to get the most correct method. With this in mind I have also ordered a Reich weight control thingy ……thank you Camel. The main reason being we tow to southern Spain in the autumn and weight is a...

    Tow hitch weight.

Which is why I use various pieces of wood under the gauge so that at the final reading the hitch is at the same level as the ball on the car…………more or less.
