Me too. We tow with a Mercedes C Class Auto. Great for towing and, with cruise control, very relaxed touring. Gearbox never hunts and will hold 5th gear up hill and down dale. Would never go back to a manual.

I also have owned and run working Mitsubishis and Toyotas overseas and, like here, the only people out there who own Range Rovers are posers. They may look good, if you like the square shed look; but IF (and it's a big IF) RRs are selling well in Oz, it'll only be until the blokes out there find...
Our last half term break inthe West Country was ruined by almost constant barking from the 7 dogs belonging to the 4 caravans nearest to us. Dogs should not be a problem, as long as the owners are responsible. Sadly, many are not.

I would take your outfit to a weighbridge and check out the total train weight.
Given the figures above, surely you will be over the permitted 3500KGs and would need an HGV licence?

There are a few misconceptions on this thread and you're not comparing like for like. Yes, the Navaro and the L200 are pickups (or pick up based) and have leaf springs and a horrible agricultural ride. They are usually also made in third world countries and are not subject to the same quality...
Nothing on earth will persuade me that Range Rovers are anything more than a hole in the road that you throw money into!
New or old, you need more money than sense to even think about one.

These are brilliant towing vehicles, very reliable, if a little heavy on diesel, especially if it's an auto and you use aircon.
Make sure it has a full service history and only use 2 wheel drive except in an emergency.

This query has come up in other forums and I can only suggest that you run a check via one of the specialist websites for car/caravan matching.
Personally, I wouldn't consider trying to tow a 1325KG caravan with a Focus, but then I'm oldfashioned.
