    Heat pumps

As for having electricity when there is a power cut, it's now 34 days since I used grid electricity. Apart that is from a couple of times, like last night, when Octopus were paying me to use it.

    Heat pumps

This is the problem. Most are a bunch of incompetents Many say "yes you can just fit HP instead of gas boiler" which in a large percentage of cases you can't. I'm still looking for a local installer that can tell me the required modifications* to my gas system that I know will need to be done...

    Heat pumps

House batteries are a wonderful thing. I am at present dumping the contents of mine onto the grid. In preparation for the negative electricity prices overnight tonight and tomorrow morning when I will recharge them. Tomorrow will be spent exporting the solar generated on my roof🫣 At a rough...

    Parking at Motorway Services

Newport Pagnell has a caravan area that looks to be shared with coaches. Unfortunately on Google maps it's all been taken over by HGV. There is a divide there but it's being ignored.

    Gas bottle sizes

Be very careful with the weight. I looked at fitting two cylinders but the extra weigh added another 10kg to the hitch weight taking that over the maximum permitted. Once I had balanced it out discovered the van was also over it's MTPLM😟 Changed to Flogas lite and problem went away.

    Data use for watching streaming?

The OP asked about Data no mention of calling from a fone. It's horses for courses, until recently I had two Sims in my phone one for calling and one for data as it was cheaper to use a Scancom Sim in my second slot than pay Smarty for the same amount of data. Smarty had a spring offer so I...

I've not seen many people holding a router to their ear making calls 😁

    Interfering with nature

Wye Invader 2 has been over Maismore and other interesting places. To let you see what it's like being washed up the river on a 9metre tide. View: https://youtu.be/pdJdCZdKG_s?si=XvuN5NXz8ybQ9wPp

    Interfering with nature

Only the mad and foolhardy go up the river over Maismore weir. It's only possible on very large spring tides. Most use the canal it's what it was built for. All the weirs on the Severn downstream of Stourport are fixed and do not open unlike the ones on the Thames.

    Starlink

5g using your mobile is a world away from a proper 4/5g router with a decent antenna.

    Starlink

Starlink is fine until the system owner decides to turn it off🤔

    Sunglasses

Privately it was £3450 for each eye, that was with the cheaper lens that just sorts the distance vision, £4450 if I wanted the all singing and dancing lens that corrected both for distance and reading. My eyes were not bad enough for the NHS to even consider them, my neighbor who had been...
