    Golf GTD and coachman pastiche

Yes it is a complicated subject. Unfortunately both Scout versions have too high a gross weight, which is why I recommended the VRS. Only the 4x4 version is suitable really as the weight of the 4x4 system bumps up the kerbweight to give you a reasonably good match. So yes, this would be much...

    Golf GTD and coachman pastiche

A Skoda Octavia VRS 2.0 TDi 184ps 4x4 dsg estate would give you about a 90% match and keep you within a B licence. 1572Kg min kerbweight ( adding a towbar adds about 30kg to this) and gross 2063kg current model. You would be in by 7kg. You could get closer to the ideal 85% by loading as much in...

Driving Licence B to BE Upgrade

Good work Prof! Please let me know their reply. I spend half my life reading this nonsense and the reason it has been possible is because does not prejudice any existing entitlement or rights but instead removes a restriction. It would infact prejudice 1997 - 2013 B holders if they didn't...

Driving Licence B to BE Upgrade

Prof, It is nothing to do with retrospective changes. It was a rewording of the B category which removed this clause. No matter when you passed. All grandfather rights still exist. This change was very badly publicised and I am not surprised that 90% of websites and so called professionals...

Driving Licence B to BE Upgrade

The requirement for the MAM of the trailer to be less than the unladen weight of the towing vehicle was removed for ALL B licence holders in 2013 when they revised the licences. This doesn't mean it is a good idea to do it! The information shown on the government website is correct.

    LUNAR EXPERIENCE ??

Same here. I've had an excellent Lunar experience! Looking at the list of faults above, most of them seem to be with fitted equipment anyway (ALKO leg, Daewoo microwave, Status booster, theford fridge etc). Before the Lunar we had a run of Baileys and the fridge in one of these was changed twice...

    Pegasus Launch

I can't knock Bailey for trying something new but there is no way I will be buying a Pegasus over a traditionally built caravan. Ignoring all the hype and marketing the Pegasus is based on commercial vehicle construction, are area in which I am very familiar. The panels are clamped at the...

    What is Bailey's new Peagus?

Looking at the outline image in the ad, I think it is a budget model. That flat front looks like a cost cutting measure to me. It could well be more of an outdoor utility vehicle (remember the Knaus Sport n Fun) especially considering Bailey's involvement with the caravan of the future competition.

    River Croe CC site

Does anybody know what happened to River Croe Caravan Club site? I know it closed as a club site but would like to know if it is still operating as a caravan site or if the land has been put to other uses. Andrew
